Division 9 tournament report 5/03/2008
North East River Maryland. Division 9 held our second spring tournament of the season on the Susquehanna Flats out of anchor Marine. We had 18 anglers come fish with us under totaly different conditions from last week. The water temps dropped 7° back down to 60°. A week of very cool nights with lows in the 40's hurt the water temps. It was a cool damp overcast day with air temps in the 50's most of the day, with a steady wind out of the east @ 10 to 15mph. The fishing was slow for most guys with only 1 five fish limit coming to the scales by Rick DiIenno that weighed 12lbs even. Rick was tight lipped about how and were his fish were caught. The reports at the ramp had most fish coming off wood or in the grass. Ryan Park took 2nd place and big bass honors with 3 fish @9.15lbs and a 3.90 lb lunker. Ryan always does well on the flats and is going to be a guy to watch in two weeks fishing the BWS. Randy Iorio was the top finishing non boater and won a $25 gift cert from Nationwide tackle I want to thank all our sponsors for thier support and hope that we continue to support them. Our next event will be held on Sunday May 18th out of anchor marine. Please be sure to get to the ramp early there will be several events launching that day so it will be crowded.
